Goblin Wars Game Guide – The Basics

This is a game guide for newbies who don’t know what the game is or how to play it.

First, go to http://apps.facebook.com/goblinwarsgame/, where you’ll see the following (once you have allowed our game):

HomePage of Goblin Wars

I’ll address each of the numbers to explain the game.

1. This is fairly self explanatory. We have a help page that is even more basic than this one explaining the mechanics of the game. We have a News tab for updates and changes to the game. In addition, there is a privacy page and Terms of Service which you must accept. Of course, there is a bookmark option for players who want to make it easy to come back to.

2. If you click this, you will return to the home page.

3. If you click on Horde, you will view all your allies. It gives you how many horde members you have and who they are. By the way, the more Horde you have, the stronger you will be.

4. This tab is used to update your stats. You gain skill points from doing missions, battling opponents, and leveling up. You can allocate skill points to increase your attack, defense, strength, health, and energy. These will in turn help you do further missions, fight more people, and level up more.

5. Tokens are a special currency in Goblin Wars. You can only get Tokens by making a great accomplishment such as mastering all three levels of a mission, by completing surveys/offers, or by purchasing them through paypal, credit card(s), offerpal, or your cell phone. Tokens can be used to by elite weapons and other items in the game. Generally the players who have these weapons and items will be stronger and do better.

6. The Dead Zone is basically a hit list. You can put people on the Dead Zone by visiting their stats in the game and clicking Add to Dead Zone in Goblin Wars. If you’re a powerful Goblin, you may also attack players who have been put on the Dead Zone to claim a reward. Each time you kill someone on the Dead Zone, you earn varying amounts of gold.

7. This shows how much gold/money you have and how long until your next payment. (If you have properties)

8. This shows how much health you have and how long until 1 health regenerates. If you’re short on health you can heal yourself at the Medic Tent.

9. This shows how much energy you have and how long until 1 energy regenerates. You mainly use energy to do missions and limited time quests. If you’re short on energy you can ask your friends to send you an energy gift or you may go to the Offers tab and buy an energy refill for 10 tokens.

10. This shows how much strength you have and how long until 1 strength regenerates. You use strength to attack and kill other players.

11. Displays your Experience Points. When your EXP reaches 100%, you level up.

12. Displays what level you are. The higher level you are, the stronger you are and more parts of the game are available to you.

13. Here, you may do missions to gain experience points and level up. You also get possible loot weapons and gold from completing missions. Here is an example of a mission:

14. Here, you may fight other Facebook players. We offer a unique style: Battle and Invade Buttons. When you Battle, you fight one on one. When you Invade, you’re placing your entire Horde against their entire Horde. Are you the strongest player? You check to see if you are in the Ranks tab.

15. Here, you may buy weapons, defenses, and other items for your inventory. It also tells you which items you own and how many.

16. Properties are for income. Once you buy a property it’s like you’re getting interest. You get a certain amount of money every hour.

17. Offers are the same as the Tokens tab. (number 5)

18. At the bank, you may deposit your gold so that if you happen to lose a fight, you won’t lose your money.

19. Heal yourself for a small sum!

20. Here, you may recruit more of your friends to play with you. Keep in mind that this is highly advised because the more Horde you have, the stronger and more successful you will be.

21. A great way to interact with your friends on Facebook! You may send gifts to your friends as well as receive them. We offer dozens of possible gifts you can send: Energy Boosts, Health Boosts, Strength Boosts, Gold, and Weapons.

22. Ranks is the equivalent of a Leaderboard. It displays the top players in the following categories:

23. Special Weapons are powerful weapons that can only be bought with Tokens. Special weapons may range from limited amounts of the weapon to a limited time offer. For example, there may only be 100 of a certain weapon and then once 100 have been bought, they’ll never be available again.

24. Your news feed that tells you what’s happening. It mainly notifies you of battles and fights.

25. Your messages. You can send new messages to other players and also read your messages sent to you by others.

26. This fully refills your energy. It can only be used once per day.

27. Use this to recruit more Horde members. It will post to your wall asking your friends to join you.

28. This is similar to 27 except in the form of a link.
